Safety Courses
Scheduled appointments will be on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month. Persons
applying for a new or renewing their permit must come to Police Headquarters,
and place their name on the firearms appointment list, at 10am on Monday
morning. Persons on list will be called in order according to there appointment
time. Appointments will be between 5pm to 8 pm. The process takes approximately 30min for each person. You will not have
an appointment, and your name will not be called unless you are on the

Permit's
take a least 4-6 weeks to receive from the MA state firearms department. You
will be notified by telephone when the Everett Police receives your license. You
will have to come to the Everett Police Department and sign for you LTC, FID or
Chemical License.
New LTC/FID Permit
Requirements:
1. Driver's license or valid mass
state Identification.
2. Certification of Completion of
MA state approved Safety Course
3. Two letters of recommendation
4. Letter from applicant to the
Chief of Police on why you would like a firearm license.
5. Personal check or money order
payable to the "City of Everett' for $100.00
Renewal LTC/FID Permit
Requirements:
1. Driver's license or valid mass
state Identification.
2. Certification of Completion of
MA state approved Safety Course
3. Two letters of recommendation
4. Letter from applicant to the
Chief of Police on why you would like a firearm license.
5. Personal check or money order
payable to the "City of Everett' for $100.00
Chemical (MACE/PEPPER SPRAY) Permit
Requirements:
1. Driver's license or valid mass
state identification.
2. Personal check or money order payable to the "City of Everett' for $25.00
a. There is a $25.00 fee for the initial application, and there is no cost for
the renewal of this permit.
