To apply
for a New Application
or Renewal of a LTC/FID/CHEMICAL Mace Permit:
1.
Call the Everett Police Assignment Office at (617) 394-2371 Monday
Thru Friday between 9am and 3pm (Excluding Holidays)
2. If no one
answers leave your name and a phone number where you can be reached
- please make note if this is a New Application or a Renewal and the
type of permit looking for (LTC/FID/CHEMICAL Mace)
3. Someone will
call you back to setup and appointment
4. Appointments
will generally be made Monday thru Friday (Excluding Holidays)
between 10am and 2pm
There is no paper
application to complete as the application is totally computerized
and is completed as part of the interview process.
Applicants will be
interviewed (approx 30 to 45 minutes per person)
the only items you
are required to bring are listed below.
New LTC/FID Permit
Requirements:
1. Driver's license or valid mass
state Identification.
2. Certification of Completion of
MA state approved Safety Course
3. Two letters of recommendation
4. Letter from applicant to the
Chief of Police on why you would like a firearm license.
5. Personal check or money order
payable to the "City of Everett' for $100.00
Renewal LTC/FID Permit
Requirements:
1. Driver's license or valid mass
state Identification.
2. Certification of Completion of
MA state approved Safety Course
3. Two letters of recommendation
4. Letter from applicant to the
Chief of Police on why you would like a firearm license.
5. Personal check or money order
payable to the "City of Everett' for $100.00
Chemical (MACE/PEPPER SPRAY) Permit
Requirements:
1. Driver's license or valid mass
state identification.
2. Personal check or money order payable to the "City of Everett' for $25.00
a. There is a $25.00 fee for the initial application, and there is no cost for
the renewal of this permit.
