The Junior Police Academy is designed to motivate young people to be outstanding citizens through law enforcement education. While being a part of our community policing program, the Junior Police Academy encourages our young citizens to be partners, in building a safer community. The academy program transforms police officers from merely responding to crime to being a positive role model, and a pro-active force in creating a safe learning environment.

 Young people do not understand what police officers do, or why they do it. The Junior Police Academy is designed to take the mystery out of law enforcement, and provide a comfortable   While the youth's that attend this academy may not want to become police officers in their future, the program does instilled confidence and a sense of achievement within our young citizens.
