Trespass Motor Vehicle
Towing:
INSTRUCTIONS
 |
The property owner
must find a tow company, and contract between the property owner and
the towing company will need to be formed. A sign must be posted on
the property. The sign will need to indicate that towing is
enforced, and MUST have the tow companies; Name, and Phone
Number displayed clear and conspicuous for the public to view. |
 |
The tow company in
not obligated however may be able to provide a sign for you If there
are none available for your property, you can purchase one at any
hardware store. Ensure the tow companies name and number is listed
with waterproof lettering. The sign must also be maintained in good
legible repair for the public the view. |
 |
Once the sign is in
place, you will need to contact the Chief of Police’s Office at
617-394-2365, and file the necessary permit forms. We will then send
an officer to the property to confirm the address sign is posted
properly. Once this is completed, the Chief of Police will authorize
the Trespass Tow Permit. |
 |
NOTE: Be advised
that the vehicles parked on the private property are towed at the
property owner’s expense. When the vehicle is recovered by its
owner and the tow fee is paid, the tow company will then reimburse
the property owner. |
 |
NOTE: The City of
Everett currently utilizes two local tow companies under city
contract; Paul's Tow Company (617-389-2736) and, Quealy Tow Company
(617-387-6877). These two companies are familiar with the
Everett area, and
its city ordinances. |
